Amplitude Connection Setup

Use this page to gather the Amplitude credentials Vexly needs. Follow the steps below, then paste the keys into Vexly.

What you'll collect

  • API Key – identifies your Amplitude project.
  • Secret Key – used by Vexly to read data for that project.

Start the Amplitude connection in Vexly

  1. In Vexly, open Connections.
  2. Click Add Connection → choose Amplitude.
  3. Stop on the empty Amplitude popup.

Log in to Amplitude

  1. Go to https://analytics.amplitude.com and sign in with your Amplitude account.

Open your project settings

  1. From the Amplitude home dashboard, click the Settings gear (top right).
  2. Choose Organization settings.
  3. In the left sidebar under Organization, click Projects.

Copy the API and Secret keys

  1. Click the project you want to connect (e.g., default).
  2. In the project details, click the clipboard icon next to API Key to copy it.
  3. Click the clipboard icon next to Secret Key to copy it.

Finish in Vexly

  1. Return to the Amplitude popup in Vexly.
  2. Paste the API Key and Secret Key you copied.
  3. Click Add Connection.

Troubleshooting

  • Copied the wrong project: Repeat the steps and choose the correct project before copying keys.
  • No clipboard icons: Ensure you're viewing the project details in Organization settings → Projects.
  • Secret rotated: If the secret was regenerated, copy the new value and update the Vexly connection.
