App Store Connect

Use the App Store Connect connection to pull release status, TestFlight details, crash signals, ratings, and review summaries into Vexly.

What You Need

  • Access to App Store Connect for the app you want to monitor
  • An App Store Connect API key with access to the relevant app resources
  • Your issuer ID, key ID, and the downloaded private key file

Create the API Key

  1. Sign in to App Store Connect.
  2. Open Users and Access.
  3. Go to the Integrations tab.
  4. Under App Store Connect API, create a new key.
  5. Record the Issuer ID and Key ID.
  6. Download the private key file when prompted.

Keep the private key secure. Apple only lets you download it once.

Add the Connection in Vexly

  1. Open the Vexly dashboard.
  2. Go to Connections.
  3. Choose App Store Connect.
  4. Enter a name for the connection.
  5. Paste the Issuer ID and Key ID.
  6. Upload or paste the private key content.
  7. Save the connection.

Good First Questions

  • "What is the status of our latest iOS release?"
  • "Did Apple reject our last submission?"
  • "Summarize App Store reviews from the past 7 days."
  • "Which TestFlight build has the most crash reports?"

Troubleshooting

If the connection fails:

  • Confirm the key is still active in App Store Connect.
  • Make sure you copied the correct issuer ID and key ID.
  • Verify the private key content was uploaded without truncation.
  • Check that the key has access to the app resources you expect to query.
